Founded in 2002, Pan Asian is a Hong Kong based innovative financial services company specializing in mortgage origination, mortgage-backed asset securitization and capital markets financing. Back in 2017, Pan Asian was looking to build an internal mobile application to assist their sales team with the sales process. As the digital transformation consultant for Pan Asian, KBQuest firstly did an assessment for Pan Asian to understand their needs and in-house resources. By considering their expectations, existing IT environment and time frame, we recommended Pan Asian to leverage Power Platform and Azure, which are already included in their O365 subscription, to build the application and achieve their objectives.

Why Power Apps?

To minimize the cost, manpower resources and lead time, instead of hiring an application developer dedicated for this project, Pan Asian had opted for KBQuest’s Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) enablement workshop which enabled the team to quickly build their own low-code business app with prebuilt templates and drag-and drop simplicity.

With the seamless integration with Power BI, Power Automate and Azure AD, Pan Asian team managed to create a sales app within a month from when they started brainstorming to when they launched the app. With KBQuest’s consulting services, Pan Asian rolled out continuous improvements as needed and has built 40+ apps for internal use which significantly improved their efficiency and competitiveness.

How the Transformation Brings Positive Business Outcomes

Pan Asian collaborated with property development to offer mortgage loans with high loan-to-value ratios so their sales team needs to provide the customers with offer details at the show flat. Previously it took at least four days to handle customers’ application and enquiries with all the paperwork and administrative procedures, which adversely affected the customer experience and competency.

After the deployment of Power Apps and Power Automate, Pan Asian’s front-line sales team can immediately calculate the down payment, repayment and purchasing power of the customers based on their income and preferences on which property units – compressing the entire process from four days to an hour.

With the integration with Power BI, their management team gains instant market insights and sales data through interactive dashboards that are linked with the sales apps and third-party data sources, resulting maximized operational efficiency and timely decision making.
